Along with a limited group, the head of state took off for South Konawe District aboard the Indonesian Presidential Aircraft from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, on Thursday.
President Jokowi departed at around 7 a.m. WIB and arrived at the Haluoleo Air Force Base, Konawe Selatan, at around 10:38 a.m. WITA.
The head of state immediately boarded the Indonesian Air Force Super Puma helicopter to continue his journey to Bombana District.
During this working visit, Jokowi is scheduled to inspect the location of a sugarcane harvest and inaugurate a sugar factory in the district that ranks among several others for the largest production volume in Indonesia.
Furthermore, President Jokowi will continue his journey to Kendari City to inaugurate the Kendari Bay Bridge.
The bridge was built to support the existing road network system in the local area and the process of expediting development of the Kendari City area.
After this activity, President Jokowi and his limited entourage will head to the Haluoleo Air Force Base, Konawe Selatan Regency, to return to Jakarta.
Aboard the flight to Southeast Sulawesi were Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono, Presidential Military Secretary Maj. Gen. Suharyanto, and Commander of Presidential Security Details (Paspampres) Major General Maruli Simanjuntak, among others.
