Kendari, SE Sulawesi, Jan 29 (Antara News) - Ten fishermen have gone missing in the Wakatobi waters in Southeast Sulawesi province since Thursday (Jan 26), a rescue worker said.
SAR teams of Kendari and Ambon cities were still searching for the 10 fishermen who had gone missing along with a fishing boat Manusela Permai 03, spokesman for SAR in Kendari, Wahyudi, said here on Sunday.
He said the SAR team in Kendari aboard a rigid inflatable boat has been trying to find the missing fishermen in the past three days but to no avail.
"Today, our team resumed the search at 06.30 a.m," he said.
The search for the fishing fishermen also involved personnel from the Wakatobi district police, the Wakatobi water police, the Binongko police precinct, the Binongko transportation office, and local residents using long boats.
