Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi (ANTARA) - The realization of the government’s wage subsidy assistance (BSU) distribution has reached 81.83 percent so far, the Southeast Sulawesi Office of state-owned postal company PT Pos Indonesia has informed.
The total number of BSU recipients in the province is 25,393 from a total of 3,142 companies, head of the office, Wildan Hamdani, said when contacted over the phone on Tuesday.
"As of November 22, 2022, the realization of our BSU distribution in Southeast Sulawesi has reached 81.83 percent from the total of 25,393 BSU (targeted) recipients in Southeast Sulawesi," he noted.
Earlier, the distribution of BSU was only carried out through banks that are members of the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara), but this time, the distribution was carried out through post offices as well, he informed.
According to him, this time, the BSU is not only targeting workers of private companies and state-owned companies but also contract-based workers in the provincial and regional governments.
In a statement issued in Jakarta on November 4, director of the financial services business at PT Pos Indonesia, Haris, said that the distribution of BSU began simultaneously at all post offices in all regions of Indonesia from November 2.
PT Pos Indonesia is accelerating the distribution of assistance to 3.6 million workers spread across Indonesia.
People can log onto bsu.bpjsketenagakerjaan.go.id and bsu.kemnaker.go.id to find out whether they are registered as BSU recipients or not, he said.
The government is providing wage subsidy assistance of Rp600 thousand to help eligible workers in Indonesia.
The targeted beneficiaries are workers who meet several requirements: they are Indonesian nationals, have been active participants in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan's program as of July 2022, earn a maximum of Rp3.5 million per month, and are not state civil apparatus (ASN) or members of the Indonesian Military (TNI) or National Police (Polri).
