Kendari (Antara News) - Two Indonesian fishermen from Buton, Southeast Sulawesi, have been reported missing in the sea border with Papua New Guinea.
There was no information about La Oga and Bachtiar after they were declared missing on January 6, as they failed to return home, Ahmad Najamuddin a relative of one of the fishermen said via telephone from Jayapura, Papua on Monday.
A search and rescue (SAR) team and family members had failed to locate La Oga and Bachtiar, Ahmad said.
"We have decided to stop looking form then tomorrow especially as the weather is not friendly. The sea waves are too high and dangerous," he said.
