Kendari, SE Sulawesi, Nov 13 (Antara) - The Southeast Sulawesi administration is promoting the province`s tourist attractions, particularly Bokori Isle, during the Nusantara (Archipelago) Royal Palace Festival and ASEAN Adat (Customary) Community Festival, as well as the Qasidah Islamic Music Festival.

"Today, we will take every king participating in this event to Bokori Isle for a gala dinner and to allow them to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the isle," Southeast Sulawesi Governor Nur Alam said here on Friday.

He expressed his hope that after hosting the festival, South Sulawesi, which is rich in culture and natural vistas, could be become as an attractive tourist destination, domestically and internationally.

The festival, being held from November 12 to 15, is participated in by royal families from 143 Indonesian, as well as foreign kingdoms representing the Philippines, Malaysia, China, Pakistan and Singapore.

Governor Nur Alam officially opened the festival on Thursday evening, filling in for Vice President M Jusuf Kalla, who cancelled his plan to open the event.

"On behalf of the Indonesian Vice President, I apologize that the Vice President is unable to be present at the opening of this festival," the governor said.

The highlight of the opening ceremony was with a colossal dance performed by more than 700 students.
