Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, Feb 12(Antara) - Construction of a container terminal in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, will start soon after the analysis of environmental impact (Amdal) has been completed.

Manager of state-owned port operator PT.Pelindo IV Abdul Azis said construction of the container terminal is expected to start not later than April this year.

"The Amdal license is expected to be issued in April and construction would start immediately to be completed in 2019," Abdul Azis said here on Friday.

The project that will occupy a 5 hectare plot of land, will cost around Rp935 billion, including Rp635 billion for infrastructure and Rp200 billion for equipment, he said.
